As our Singapore / Malaya Heritage Collection grows, we’re getting more and more excited about the progress of our 1950s shophouse model. Finally, this will be the piece that truly ties everything together!
We’ve been thinking that the interior rooms look rather dark. So we experimented, and are pleased to now share that we will be adding LED lights to illuminate the insides and make it pop!
We’re very pleased with the effect and want to share some of these pictures below!
The prototype will hopefully be ready middle of this year. So if all goes well, we should be able to release these shophouse models for sale at the end of 2019.

LED lights will light the rooms of our shophouse model
The shophouse model will be built to-scale with our Singapore / Malaya Heritage collection of figurines.
Some of our existing figurines are posed here for comparison.
The shophouse models will be made of resin and individually hand-painted. However, what you see here are the unpainted working versions.
We will be releasing two beautiful model designs. As you can see in this side-by-side comparison, they are carefully replicated from real-life – down to the intricate Peranakan art deco style panels.
What are Shophouses?
For our friends from overseas who may be unfamiliar, shophouses are actually architectural and heritage icons in Singapore. They were built as far back as the 1900s, and were the living environment for everyday folk during that era.
