Satay Man with Stall Figurine (SH005)
SGD$64.00
Satay Men were roving street hawkers in early Singapore. As the country developed however, street hawkers eventually vanished and were replaced by more sanitary eating establishments.
This Miniature Stories collectible figurine depicts a Malay Satay Man / Satay Seller with his mobile stall, fanning and barbecuing some sticks of satay over a grill. He is wearing a blue checkered sarong and white “songkok,” which is a type of cap commonly worn by Muslim men.
He is best displayed with the Satay Customer (SH006) seated on a low stool and eating at a table (sold separately).
