Medics in the MRF are part of theĀ medical arm of the SAF’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive Defence Group (CBRE Defence Group).
Our MRF Medic is depicted in his “Mission Oriented Protective Posture” MOPP suit, all ready to to put on his Protective Mask which is designed to filter harmful chemical and biological agents, as well as irradiated particles from the air to allow the wearer to breathe safely. Strapped on his leg is his Mask carrier which protects the mask from damage. It also contains various equipment like spare filters for the mask.
