Malay Wedding Entourage Figurines (SH024A)

During a Malay wedding, the groom would travel to the bride’s home with a grand and cheerful procession consisting of friends, relatives and musicians.

This pair of figurines form a part of the procession. They are dressed in traditional Malay attire – the lady wears a kebaya and a sarong, and the man wears a baju Melayu in the “Teluk Belanga” style, which has the kain samping (skirt-like adornment) worn below the baju top rather than above it. They display best when placed together with other characters from the Malay Wedding collection.
