Big Head Buddha Figurine (SH035)

Traditional Chinese Lion Dances performed in Singapore usually include a big-headed clown, also known as the ‘Big Head Buddha.’ The performer dresses in monk’s robes and wears an enlarged head or mask that is crafted to look like a laughing Buddha. He leads and taunts the lion while dancing to the rhythm of the drums and gongs.

Our miniature Big Head Buddha figurine closely resembles the actual outfit usually worn in real life. He is best displayed with the lions and other companion pieces to depict a lively Lion Dance performance.
